Colorado Trip 2013

I've been putting off updating about this because of ALL THE DAMN PICTURES I TOOK, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PICK THE ONES I LOVE BEST BUT. I'LL HAVE TO TRY. The rest are on my facebook so I suppose you could snoop there if need be.

Let me start off by saying this was a trip of a lifetime. It reminded me that the places I want to be aren't very far away at all and getting back to them will come all in due time.

The badlands were so fucking beautiful. And there were prairie dogs with the bubonic plague out in the fields! And wild ram!

We barely made it out of the rocky mountain national park before a white out storm hit. It was super spooky and I nearly had a panic attack but ~ the sights were definitely worth it!

We found an abandoned/burned down/left to grow over house and shed that was up in the mountains near the road.

The hotel we stayed at outside of Denver was magnificent  The sight of the skyline was perfect. And the room was worn out as fuck and obviously had been broken into/shot in at some point. The next day we proceeded to the great sand dunes but both my and the driver's GPS systems tried to take us a route through the mountains that only jeeps can go on in the summer time and we were a little VW and the dick of winter. Needless to say, it was a very interesting journey and the drunk towns people up in the mountains acted like we were movie stars.

The food we obtained at the universal was absolutely phenomenal! And noodles and company is always a great way to hit an empty spot. :3

When I was in high school and dealing with depression in a creative mindset, I took a creative writing class that I was really excited for. The teacher ended up not fancying me or taking interest in my work and it was really plummeting in the self esteem department. One day we had a task where we all had to go around the room and read what we wrote. The task involved something that was illegal becoming legal and the effect and why you thought so. I was the weird, outcasted, obnoxious in her own way little goth girl so of course if I say anything out of the norm it’s ten times as weird. I thought up a really good, sane, intelligent argument on as to ‘if murder was legalized’ and when she called on me she refused to let me speak and made everyone in the room laugh at me and encouraged the girl next to me to move her seat away from me. She barely passed me and I stopped writing only to recently pick it up again in my early 20s. I discovered I loved it again and it’s a friendly reminder to myself to remind you people that even if a person of authority/inspiration knocks you out to get back up when the time feels right. Misunderstandings and miscommunication can do dangerous things so it’s important to talk things out/confront them even if it’s rough. Don’t be silent.

Siamese Twin Wasabi Pea

This year I am going to work more on my mental and physical health and read more books and stories and internet articles as well as educate myself on general oddities. I'm going to only surround myself with people who wish me well and inspire me rather than bring me down. I'm going to work on accepting my body as much as my mind and forgiving myself more. I'm going to try my best to travel as well as work and make money to move back to California. I'm going to paint and draw and make 3D art and have as many photoshoots as physically possible. This year will be a productive, plentiful, and mystical...I can already feel it. I'm more than ready for this.
